As part of the University of Maine’s Marketing and Communications team, supervised by Associate Creative Director Jenna Davenport and in collaboration with my co-intern, Kylee Moody, we contributed to a project focused on improving visual cohesion across our college's social media by co-developing a system of social media templates for brand communicators.

We began by researching how peer universities translate their brand identity into social content, then surveyed our brand communicators to identify key needs, such as who would use the templates, which platforms they would support, and how we could leverage our existing brand identity. Reviewing the data from our research, we began developing our research-backed solution.

To streamline our workflow and design process as well as ensure consistency, I created a centralized brand library in Adobe Creative Cloud, compiling essential visual elements such as color palettes, logos, icons, and graphic assets. From there, in collaboration with my co-intern, we developed a flexible set of social media templates designed for ease of use across university department communicators.

The result was a system that enables non-designers to quickly create on-brand content, improving efficiency while maintaining a cohesive visual identity across a wide range of university communications without needing an in-depth design brief.
